Hammer Nut extented length and depth is required for ball joints manufactured with a hex at top of threads. Used in conjection with impact Hammer and punch. Note: These longer/deeper Hammer Nuts are specifically machined for the longer tie-rod ends and ball joints that are manufactured with a hex at top of threads. For shorter suspension components that do not have the extended hex at tops of threads, you must us our shorter Hammer Nuts.
